experimentation

It's difficult to do, but I've been trying to reward Moxie for the things she carries around in her mouth before she eats them. The problem is, by the time I discover she has something she's often already picked it to pieces. I have, however, somehow been able to do this with my slipper(s). So when I see her I just get really excited that she's on the verge of destroying something I love and get her to give it to me. I've been doing this for weeks, but I had no idea if it was working. Until this morning when I saw this. My sweet girl cuddling, not eating, my slipper. Pretty darling.
We went to the farmer's market this morning with the dogs. Moxie and S hung outside with our friend Jaime (http://peddleronthepath.com/) while Luther and I shopped around. Our adventure mostly consisted of me getting suckered into buying homemade dog treats (one steak and veggie flavored and one carob/corn/apple flavored) and Luther getting the hell petted out of him by a bunch of strangers. People love him. I can't blame them. The dogs ate the biscuits in .5 seconds, which begs the question: Is buying $3 dog treats with fancy flavors really worth it? I could basically give Moxie a soap flavored paper towel and she would be equally excited.
S drank a peanut butter mocha. It sounded gross to me too, but it was so f'ing delicious. We saw a toyota on top of another car, the result of an accelerator malfunction, and we ran into and hung out with our neighbors and their blue ribbon cute baby Jack. Tonight, a BBQ at the other neighbors. Such a nice weekend!
